The film is a prequel for Kantara and is titled Kantara: Chapter 1. Rishab Shetty directed and played the lead role in this devotional drama.

Hombale Films is investing big money after the first part ended up as a massive success in all the languages. The non-theatrical rights are sold for record prices and the makers will release the film on their own in all the languages.
