Learn the Kathak style of Classical Indian dance in its traditional form, in a professional and reputed dance institute of US that has trained hundreds over the past 15 years! Akhila Rao, artistic director, has over 30+ years of acclaimed excellence in Kathak performance, choreography and training. She is the disciple of Guru Shri. Ganesh Hiralal and Guru Late Smt. Asha Joglekar of Mumbai, India. She is the recipient of the Menaka trophy and 'Singar Mani' title at the prestigious Kal-Ke-Kalakar festival in India. Training at Kathak Rhythms includes theory to help appreciate the finer aspects of Kathak dance as well as Indian culture. Besides participating in several performances, her students are provided with holistic training and certification through an Institute of Indian classical music and dance in the USA. Classes are conducted at own 2000 sq ft studio in Plano and also at Coppell and Southlake.
