With Italy and Spain battling the coronavirus crisis with the constant rise in the number of confirmed cases and deaths, the United States is catching up to the same with the death toll crossing 1000 on March 25, 2020.

Ever since the first reported death on February 29, 2020 in the United States, the rates have quickly spiked through. According to the John Hopkins Data board, the number of deaths reported as of early March 26, 2020 stands at 1,050.

For better curbing the impacts, the states and the cities have imposed lockdown, stay at home orders and several shelter in place for the homeless individuals. With the better availability of the testing kits, the numbers of confirmed cases are on a rampant rise.

Apart from Italy and Spain, even China, Iran and France has a higher death toll in comparison to the United States.

For combating the crisis better, the Senate has announced a deal on Wednesday sanctioning a $2 trillion aid package which includes $150 billion for the hospitals and frontline healthcare workers and medical centres to handle the constant surge in the number of cases.

The US currently has over 69,000 confirmed cases, the numbers consistently rising. The numbers are also believed to be a lot more in the early stages than what Italy and China reported.
