An Indian origin man walked out unharmed after a plane crash-landed on a road and hit several cars including his own.
According to an Indian Express report a small plane of the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) crash-landed in Texas, wounding one of the agents on board. The plane faced mechanical bugs and as a consequence, collided with several vehicles as it tried to make an emergency landing.
One of those affected was Indian origin man, Oniel Kurup who thanked his Tesla for helping him escape uninjured.
Sharing pictures of the crashed plane and destroyed car on Facebook, he wrote, "GOD and this CAR truly saved us today," adding he was with his son Aarav when the freak accident happened.
The story of his close call with danger went viral and even caught the attention of Tesla Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk. He responded to the story on his Twitter handle saying that he was glad that Oniel and his family were safe.
TESLA Model X involved in a plane crash. And no, it was not the fault of TESLA or the driver. That's why I love my TESLA. Safe vehicle. @elonmusk @Tesla @alphacali pic.twitter.com/QN2y7u0MuY
