A Police Officer of Texas fatally shoots a Wielding man

The Police department officials in the Texas fatally shot a sword welding man, who was welding a sharp sword, while they served warrant on early Tuesday at a League City home.

When the shooting took place, The League City Police officials, along with the Agency response Team were serving warrants about 5.00 am in the 300 block of Morning side Drive.

Galveston County Sheriff, Henry Trochesset said to the media that, an officer went in to a bedroom and was confronted by Roger Fortner, who was assumed to be in a protective with a sword.

Fortner was been shot on a bean bag, but it did not oppress him, later another officer fired at him several times with a Gun, Trochesset said.

Fortner, aged 49, was declared to be dead on spot of the scene. No other injuries were reported.

It is not yet clear that, how many shots struck Fortner, to pull him down as dead.

According to the report of Houston chronicle, his wife and step son, were subjected to narcotics and weapons warrant, and were present during the fire shots, and it is not yet clear that if the step son was charged with any crime with regard to the warrant.

The sheriff is investigating the shootings and the officials involved in shooting, have been placed on leave, which is always a routine in the case officials who involved in shootings.
