A Muslim community leader says that, the investigation team of the FBI questioned Muslims in North Texas following the al-Qaeda terrorist threat before the election day in the US state of Texas.
Alia Salem, the group's director, said that, according to the North Texas Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), FBI agents quizzed the Muslims from Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas and Florida.
Salem said that, "It was made apparent to us that the FBI has a list of a couple hundred people they are wanting to visit and ask a series of eight generic questions intended to drum up information about the attacks."
According to the North Texas branch of CAIR, they confirmed that three interviews took place over the weekend and it also received information of five more.
The CBS News reported, "The FBI and (Department of Homeland Security), working with our federal, state and local counterparts, share and assess intelligence on a daily basis and will continue to work closely with law enforcement and intelligence community partners to identify and disrupt any potential threat to public safety."
