OnePlus 15 is expected to be launched in China later today. Before its release, the company has disclosed several details about the phone, highlighting 10 enhancements it brings compared to the OnePlus 13. The company has announced that its top device will come with different IP ratings that ensure it is resistant to dust and water. The phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor along with a new gaming chip. Additionally, it will feature the latest BOE Flexible OLED screen with a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of 165Hz. In a Weibo post, the company shared that the upcoming OnePlus 15 will include 10 new upgrades, some of which were previously known. Notably, it is confirmed that the device will have IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for protection against dust and water. Furthermore, it will be equipped with the new “Fengchi Game Core” chip alongside Qualcomm's updated Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.
To manage the heat, the smartphone will incorporate a new “Glacier System Cooling” feature. It will operate on Android 16 with ColorOS 16 in China. In India, however, it will use OxygenOS 16, which is also based on Android 16. The OnePlus 15 will boast a third-generation 1.5K BOE Flexible Oriental OLED screen. This display will have a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz but will also work at 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, and 144Hz, depending on how it's used.
It will include a Glacier Battery with a capacity of 7300 mAh, supporting 120W Super Flash Charge for wired charging and 50W Wireless Flash Charge for wireless charging. The OnePlus 15 will feature a newly designed square triple camera system on the back, consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera from Sony and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens that provides 3.5x optical zoom.
This will be the first device to include OnePlus' new DetailMax image engine. Additionally, the OnePlus 15 will have the “Lumo Ningguang Imaging System.” It will also come with a balanced dual-speaker system. For safety, the OnePlus 15 will feature an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
