It's official! Maulana Azad National Urdu University (Manuu) has decided to confer an honorary doctorate to actor Aamir Khan for his outstanding contribution in Indian cinema.

The doctorate will be awarded to the actor during the University's 5th convocation ceremony, to be held on its Hyderabad campus on August 24.

Justice Rajendar Sachar, Chairman Sachar committee would also be awarded a doctorate in the convocation ceremony of 2011 and 2012 batch students.

Whether Aamir Khan will be present to accept the honor is yet to be known.
