Indian Tribal Girl Acquires United States Commercial Pilot License

Ajmeera Bobby, the daughter of a retired educator is the first Indian tribal region girl from Telangana state to have ventured into aviation sector and to have with success accomplished the rigorous training of commercial pilot license in the United States and another course related to pilot training in Indonesia.

A tribal girl from the interior habitation of Mancherial district remains a role model for millions of young citizens for choosing a career in the aviation industry.

Bobby's undaunted determination help her fly, to earn honor and set a milestone. She will be soon flying an aircraft, realizing her aspiration and making the country proud.

"I always wanted to do something unique. But I did not know what to do. I felt whatever I do, I have to do something different. When I happened to visit the Begumpet airport, I was determined to enter the aviation sector because neither my family members nor friends ever ventured into it." Bobby said to a media source.   

She further added saying, "I was selected by Air India as an air hostess, by topping a test. Then, I quit the post as I decided to become a pilot. I could get commercial pilot training license in USA and Jakarta, with the help of financial aid of Rs 25 lakh extended by Telangana government."

The Masters of Arts in Sociology and Master of Business Administration degree holder from Osmania University stated that she had performed well in the test and the interview was held by a private airline recently, subsequently obtaining international licenses of the pilot for flying various aircraft in a country.

Bobby had been trained by a private flying academy in Miami of Florida in a commercial pilot license for 250 hours, then she underwent in type-rating of Airbus 320, in Jakarta in Indonesia. Bobby cleared a test conducted by a regulatory body in India for aviation.

"I will always be indebted to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao sir for backing me by granting the economical help when needed. He readily accepted when I sought the financial support. He told me that Telangana needed achievers like me. He welcomed in a positive way and believed in me. He played a role of my father. He came to my rescue when my father could not help me," Bobby recounted.
