Actor Ranveer Singh has faced a ban from the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) following his unexpected departure from Farhan Akhtar's Don 3. This issue was addressed last week, leading to a decision that was shared with the media on Monday. The FWICE has issued a directive of non-cooperation against Ranveer Singh, effectively prohibiting him from working in the industry after he abruptly left Don 3. The FWICE got involved in the ongoing disagreement about Don 3 after reports indicated that Ranveer Singh exited the film by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani just before filming was set to begin. Ashoke Pandit, the Chief Advisor of FWICE, labeled the situation as serious and condemned the trend of actors departing from films close to the start of production. He mentioned that the federation would decide the next steps following an internal meeting. Pandit responded to the escalating conflict between Ranveer Singh and Excel Entertainment, the production company led by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, as reported.

The conflict revolves around Singh's alleged departure from Don 3, a film that has already faced multiple delays and attracted public interest due to its notable cast. Earlier reports stated that FWICE President BN Tiwari, Chief Advisor Ashoke Pandit, Honorary General Secretary Ashok Dubey, and Treasurer Gangeshwarlal Shrivastav were planned to attend an important internal meeting, which would be followed by a press conference to reveal the federation's resolution. In a previous interview with Bombay Times, Pandit remarked, "This is a very significant issue, and such a trend is quite unacceptable. You cannot step back from a project just ten days before it begins filming. We will first hold an internal meeting and then decide. " When asked about potential outcomes of the decision, he stated, "Our actions will reflect what's fair. We won't let the industry fall apart. If anyone can just walk away from a film, it sets a dangerous precedent. Whatever decisions we make will prioritize the industry's well-being. "

The disagreement had previously escalated to the Producers Guild of India, where several senior producers reportedly attempted to mediate. Excel Entertainment was reported to have stated that substantial resources were invested in pre-production and that key plans had been finalized before Singh's departure. Other reports mentioned that negotiations regarding a possible settlement had not yet come to a conclusion. Akhtar also spoke about the matter in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, noting, "A lot has transpired over the last few years. You come to expect the unforeseen. Nothing can be assumed until it is actually on film. " Akhtar's most recent directorial effort was the 2011 action-thriller Don 2, which starred Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Boman Irani in significant roles. Singh's last appearance was in the espionage thriller, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar, which also featured Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Sanjay Dutt, Manav Gohil, and Gaurav Gera.
